We are looking for a highly capable Senior Finance Analyst for our company, which is rapidly growing into a unicorn, to build and develop the next generation of our financial and business analytics.

This is not a traditional reporting role.

You will work with large and complex datasets, turn them into commercially relevant insights, and present those insights directly to senior management and the Board of Directors. We are looking for someone who can move fluently between finance, data, technology and business decision making.

You should be equally comfortable writing SQL or Python, analysing a P&L, building BI solutions and presenting your conclusions to the Board.

What you will do

You will be responsible for developing financial and business reporting that supports real decision making. This includes management and Board reporting, KPI development, forecasting, scenario analysis, automation, and combining financial and operational data from multiple systems.

You will not only work with ready made reports. We expect you to be able to go to the source data, identify what is needed, build the analysis and explain what the numbers mean.

You will also help us develop how we use AI, automation and modern analytics tools in finance and management reporting.

What we are looking for

We expect strong experience in financial or business analytics and a solid understanding of key financial concepts such as revenue, margins, cost structures, profitability, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting.

You should also have hands on technical capability, ideally including several of the following:

• SQL

• Python

• Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools

• data models and data warehouses

• APIs and data integration

• reporting automation

• practical use of AI in analytics or finance

We are not looking for someone who only understands the concepts. You should be able to build, test, investigate and solve problems yourself.

Fluent English is required.

Seniority in practice

You may be asked:

“Why did profitability decline in this market last month?”

We expect you to determine what data is needed, investigate the issue, identify the key drivers and present a clear conclusion and recommendation.

The role requires strong communication skills. You should be able to discuss a data model with a technical team and then explain the business implications of the same data to the CEO, CFO or Board.

We especially value experience in

Large or fast growing international companies, complex analytics environments, management or Board reporting, large datasets, BI platforms, and automated reporting using SQL or Python.

Your background is likely to be in finance, FP&A, controlling, commercial finance or financial analytics, combined with strong hands on data and analytics capabilities.

What matters most is that you can connect data to business decisions.

What we offer

The salary range for this position is €6,000–€8,500 per month, depending on your previous experience and level of expertise. We also welcome candidates to share their own salary expectations, particularly where their background and experience support a different level of compensation.

The position is based in Helsinki with a hybrid working model.
